Some interesting statistics for you. 55% of what is left of the finance committee comes ftom one area of town. Four are from precinct 8 and one is from precinct 7. Not much diversity on this committee and lopsided representation from one part of town. I have to agree with you. The charter should be changed or something has to be done.

    Default lipstick on a pig

Cleaning up the land and not touching the buildings is the best example of our inept government. It is like putting lipstick on a pig. The buildings need to come down and the responsible parties MUST pay for it.Thirteen million dollars of land clean up and landscaping to still have a terrible series of buildings is STUPID at best.

There is a commnet period for this proposal. Send in your comments. Click onto the EPA press release posted on Walpole News to get the info. Hope this is helpful.

Are you kidding me. The people that got involved are hero's. I don't care if you are in public safety or working for a moving company. Speedy recovery to our injuried firefighter nice job sticking it out in the basement with him.....

    Default Why?

Why do you have to make a wise comment when someone compliments the firefighters? While I'm sure there were plenty of "regular" citizens helping out, they weren't in the basement of the collapsed and burning building trying to free the trapped victim. I don't recall reading about any bystanders being transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation or heat exhaustion (and yes, one of those was a Walpole firefighter).

So, while you are entitled to your opinion, you don't have to be so rude about it.
