New children's learning center offers Spanish and Mandarin immersion
From the center:
The Spring Forward Children's Center at 677 Main St. will introduce children from two months through five-years-old to Spanish and Mandarin language and culture through structure play, music, art and dance lessons. All classes will be led by native Spanish and Mandarin speaking teachers all of whom are state certified. The first day of classes will begin on Tuesday, September 2.

“As a mother of two young daughters I know how difficult it is to find a safe childcare center that you can trust to take the best care of your child,” said Georgia Collins, president and CEO of SFCC. “I created SFCC to provide children with a positive experience with language early on and help them develop the necessary skills to succeed in life.”

SFCC strives to prepare its students to excel as confident well-rounded individuals. Brain research and language acquisition studies show that the best time to learn a second language is during childhood. Children naturally possess an inherent curiosity about their environment and are open to learning a new language. Programs will reinforce basic social skills, listening, motor skills, independence and helps prepare students for success in their future endeavor.
