The Walpole Recreation Department, The Walpole Chamber of Commerce, and the owners of Jalapeno’s Grille are hosting an event like no other for the Town of Walpole, “Walpole Day – 2008!” on Sunday, May 18, 2008, starting at Noon and ending at 6:30 p.m.
The day will begin at noon with an old-fashioned parade including a Grand Marshal, marching bands, and fabulous floats, all competing for a grand prize. As the parade commences, the day-long celebration begins with town organizations and youth groups hosting tables with fun activities, games and raffles. There will be a food court with numerous restaurants and vendors from Walpole and neighboring towns. The day will end with a B-B-Q and street dance with the entertainment being provided by a great Country & Western band, Stan Martin & The Honky-Tonk Angels.
We are writing to invite you to please be a Walpole Day Sponsor. An event such as this will require funding for advertising, table and tent rentals, permits, entertainment and other miscellaneous items. Walpole is one of the only towns in the area that does not have a day to celebrate itself and we believe now is time. The sponsorship breakdown is as follows:
- Platinum is a donation of $2,000 or more and your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and will be displayed on the parade car carrying the grand marshal. You will also be recognized on the stage during the C & W street dance and B-B-Q with a banner naming you as a major contributor.
- Gold is a donation of $1,000 or more and your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and will be displayed with a banner on the stage as a sponsor of the Walpole Teen Band Showcase.
- Silver will be a donation of $500 or more and your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and you will be recognized as the sponsor of the Walpole Day BabySitting Circle.
- Bronze is $250 and your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and will have significant advertising space in the Walpole Day Guide that will be handed out to all guests throughout the day.
- Friend of Walpole Day is a donation of any dollar amount and your business/group’s name will be listed with other “Friends” in the Walpole Day Guide that will be handed out to all guests throughout the day.
